The streaming service will also present the Esports Game of the Year award. Amazon Music will create a playlist for the awards ceremony featuring a variety of internationally acclaimed, local and independent artists.

The Esports Awards will be presented for the seventh time on December 13th at the Resorts World Theater in Las Vegas. Over 30 awards covering all aspects of the esports industry will be presented.

By partnering with the Awards, Amazon Music is making its first foray into the esports industry. Still, the tech company is no stranger to the industry. In 2021, Amazon secured partnerships with companies like Riot Games and tournament organizer BLAST.

Amazon Music becomes the 15th partner of this year’s awards. It adds automotive brand Lexus, telecommunications company Verizon and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to its extensive portfolio.

Michael Ashford, CEO of the Esports Awards, commented on the deal: “It is an honor to welcome Amazon Music to the Esports Awards family. Music is such a growing part of gaming culture and we couldn’t name a better sponsor to help us showcase this.

“It wouldn’t be an Esports Awards celebration without a killer music playlist either, and I can’t wait for everyone to experience what we’ve been working on with Amazon Music.”
