Additionally, both parties will partner on content via influencer ambassadors and eSports team activations. According to the press release, the aim of the activations is to attract viewers across the UK, Europe and the US.

Founded in 2017 by Kieran Wood and Will Mollett, Horizon has grown to over 40 developers alongside its esports efforts within APEX Legends and FIFA. The organization was taken over by gaming media company Kairos Group in February 2022. CTRL is the latest addition to Horizon’s roster of commercial partners, which includes Heinz, Samsung and Champion US, among others.

On the other hand, CTRL is a growing brand in the meal replacement and nutritional supplement space. Founded in 2018 by former Team Envy founder Skyler Johnson, the company focuses on protein shakes and bars.

This isn’t CTRL’s first esports-related collaboration, as the company has teamed up with FaZe Clan, Ghost Gaming, Scump, and Ashtronova in the past. Recently, CTRL inked a deal with Belong Gaming Arenas to supply all of its US-based facilities with its Meal-On-The-Go protein bars to expand its retail footprint.

“As an organization we want to ensure that player health is of the utmost importance. It is undoubtedly exciting to join forces with CTRL and help them achieve this goal for Horizon audiences and the wider community.”
