TD “Rosal” maintains its strength as it moves across the Philippine Sea east of Aurora

(Eagle News) — Tropical Depression “Rosal” has continued to maintain its strength as it moved across the Philippine Sea east of Aurora.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration previously said the center of the tropical depression was estimated to be 330 kilometers east of Casiguran.

It offers maximum sustained winds of up to 45 km/h and gusts of up to 35 km/h.

It’s moving northeast at 20 km/h.

According to PAGASA, light to moderate rains with intermittent heavy rains are expected over Mimaropa.

In the next 24 hours, the northeast monsoon wave, partially reinforced by the tropical depression, may bring occasional gusts over Batanes and the Babuyan Islands and strong breezes near gale force over Ilocos Norte, the northern and eastern parts of Cagayan, East Part of Isabela, the Calaguas Islands and the extreme northern part of Catanduanes.

“Rosal” is expected to move generally northeast before turning southeast.
