The Philippines reports 1,874 new COVID-19 cases

(Eagle News) — The Philippines reported 1,874 new COVID-19 cases as of Saturday, November 26.

With the additional cases, the active number rose to 18,348.

This is the third consecutive day with over 1,000 new COVID-19 infections reported.

The Philippines has now registered a total of 4,032,326 COVID-19 cases.

The DOH said of the additional cases, Metro Manila has recorded its highest number of new COVID-19 cases in the past 14 days at 3418.

Calabarzon followed with 1801; Western Visayas with 1162; Central Luzon with 994; and Central Visayas with 982.

Recoveries also increased to 3,949,407.

The death toll rose to 64,571.

Earlier, the DOH said 14 cases of the highly transmissible omicron subvariant BQ.1 had been detected in the country.
