Williams Esports secures partnership with DUX Gaming

Williams Esports, the esports division of Formula 1 team Williams Racing, has announced a partnership with Spanish esports organization DUX Gaming.

This makes DUX partner with Williams Esports for the F1 Esports Series.

As part of the collaboration, DUX Gaming content creators will be featured on the Williams Esports Twitch channel ahead of the final two F1 Esports events of the season. The riders will also be featured on the Spanish organization’s channels.

In addition to the F1 Esports Series, Williams Esports participates in a number of sim racing platforms including iRacing, Assetto Corsa Competizione and Gran Turismo. Recently, its drivers took part in the Le Mans Virtual Series, which included two-time Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen.

Founded in 2018, DUX Gaming secured a €3m (~£2.6m) funding round in October led by NBA Champion Marc Gasol. Since its inception, the organization has introduced rosters in FIFA, sim racing and the NBA 2K League.

In addition to sim racing, Williams Esports also participates in Rocket League and Fortnite through its association with UK esports organization Resolve.

DUX Gaming becomes the eighth partner of Williams Esports, joining gaming and lifestyle brands such as Razer, computer maker Chillblast and sim racing hardware maker Fanatec.

The Spanish organization is no stranger to working with a number of well-known partners. In the last five years, it has signed deals with Adidas and UCAM Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia, a private Spanish university. In 2020, notable footballers Thibaut Courtois and Borja Iglesias invested in the organization as shareholders alongside Spanish content creator DjMaRiiO.
